Just a little love note to share where we started,

and why we chose the Ragged Point Inn:

We both went to UC Berkeley (#GoBears), where Matt was a year ahead of Natalie. We allegedly played on the same intramural soccer team, although neither of us remembers the other.

After college, we both ended up in San Francisco and briefly crossed paths while waiting in line for bánh mì at UCSF where we were both working in research. Finally, in early 2016, our friends (shout out Kate and Brian), knowing that we were both headed to USC for medical school, formally introduced us. We spent the day together at the Walk to Cure RA then bopping around the city. We remained friends through the start of medical school and then, during our second year, thanks to some carefully curated planning of a “casual” meetup by Natalie, we started dating soon after and the rest is history.

The years that followed included medical school (Step 1 included iykyk), a pandemic, five years of long distance between San Francisco and Los Angeles, and more Southwest flights than we'd like to count. After Natalie graduated residency in 2025, we were grateful to be able to unite in Los Angeles and live together once again.

We stumbled upon the Ragged Point Inn by happenstance when taking a trip through Big Sur after Matt helped Natalie move to San Francisco for residency, at a time when the distance felt intimidating and the future uncertain. We were immediately struck by the beauty of the coastline and the rustic charm of the property. Years later, when we were finally able to start planning a future in the same city together again, the Ragged Point Inn immediately came to mind. Perched halfway between the Bay and Los Angeles, between Petaluma and Ojai, it felt like the perfect place to celebrate the journey that brought us here.

We can't wait to share this special place with our closest friends and family. We hope the weekend reflects the people and places that shaped us—from our families and Italian roots to the California coast, citrus groves, and avocado orchards we grew up around.

We're so excited to celebrate with our favorite humans!!
